Caribeme Magazine (CME) is a lifestyle magazine that considers Caribbean connection within the African diaspora. We explore multiple aspects of diaspora Caribbeanness by developing collect openings for product awareness and community engagement.
Caribeme Magazine is a component of 3CK Media LLC, a media/communications company. CME was created by postcolonial anthropologist and business consultant Loretta Green-Williams with her daughter and filmmaker, Dana Verde.
Loretta "lo" green-williams
As an entrepreneur and postcolonial theorist, LO converted her theoretical constructs of Rasta feminism and sociospiritualism into Caribeme, the lifestyle magazine for the Caribbean and the Diaspora woman.
Inspired by "CaribME: New Yorkers of the Caribbean Diaspora," a documentary that Lo wrote and executive produced, along with her daughter-filmmaker Dana Verde, both ladies realized that the story of the Diaspora woman required an additional platform for discussion. Thus, the vision of Caribeme Magazine (CME) is to globally share the Diaspora stories of women.
While extending her decades of business experience, as an independent business consultant, LO was appointed to a special advisory council for Dr. Roy Hastick, founder and president for the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce, LLC. She is a sought after advisor for several international organizations while maintaining several networking businesses that support the socioeconomic growth of the Diaspora.
The author of several articles and books, her current research on the South Jersey Chitlin Circuit Route's relationship to the Civil Rights Movement (1948-1978) has been recognized by the New Jersey Historical Commission.
LO is the founder of Women of Concern Professionals & Strategic Conscious Networking (WOCPSCN), and Caribbean Diaspora Business and Professional Association. She holds the covenant title of Global Goodwill Ambassador, USA; Committee Member for the International Caribbean Diaspora Entrepreneur Development Conference & Trade Show
